Where did all the gossip occur before the invention of the water cooler, the back door around the oversized ashtray or the over zealous media?

Can we believe all we see, hear and read? Which is produced by the so called professional journalists? What is news and what is conjecture? How does this propagate through a company and affect the daily business of the day and of the company’s future? Has instant communication changed and affected how we do business? I know these are a lot of questions and that is my point!

When questioned or given information that is earth shaking or previously unknown, how do we react? Do we stumble if we are side swiped with so called facts from what is determined as “trustworthy” sources? Do we believe without corroborating the information? Do we ignore, which you know is impossible, and just move on? What is the affect and are we influenced directly by others?

Communications and mindset are so connected that we have to see the affects and outcomes. Certainly over the years there has been statements and analytical assumptions produced. Just where do we stand? How are you prepared for the nightmare that will attack from within? What procedures have you taken to stop information going out; say through the ever growing social disservice networks?

Communication is a two way street and is a phenomenal asset of a company.

We are talking about intangible assets. They are the “premium” on the value of a company’s tangible assets. They are often inexpensive to build, but difficult for the competition to replicate.
